Live Edge Slab Dining Table With Extensions

This Dining table was made for a local couple that wanted a country farmhouse table but fell in love with this large spalted sycamore slab at my shop since it is a kind of halfway between regular straight edge and live edge. The edge on this slab is rough sawn.

The only problem with this slab was that it was too large for everyday use.The solution was to use this slab and cut it down to a manageable size but saving the ends to use as “company board” extensions.

The simple country style base is made from Walnut.
